Thomas's bonfire can get quite large and hot, so my mom and I decided to build a fire pit this year for the kids to roast their hot dogs and smores. We put down the bricks and then dumped alot of coals in the middle. It burned steady all not. It was a huge hit. Thomas cut some bamboo and made skewers out of them. The kids soon realized it was great for dropping fireworks in as well. They kept putting sparklers in the pit and it would make quite a pretty show!
